Paul J. O'Rourke, Jr. started out his career working for a large international firm, and then was a senior partner in a leading, regional firm where he worked for over 20 years. Mr. O'Rourke's experience in large, prestigious firms taught him the importance of performing at all times at a very high level. Mr. O'Rourke is a firm believer that high level research, analysis and writing can make all the difference in a case. That is why his Firm logo has a book in it. While Mr. O'Rourke is a versatile attorney and can handle a variety of legal matters (litigated and otherwise), his specialty is insurance coverage. Mr. O'Rourke was an insurance coverage and bad faith attorney for over twenty years while at McCormick Barstow. During his time there, Mr. O'Rourke was lead, statewide coverage counsel for a number of insurance companies. Mr. O'Rourke's expertise was interpreting and applying the insurance companies' policies in the face of an enormous and complicated body of case law and regulatory law, and then advising the insurance companies what to do with respect to claims. Based on his reputation as a high quality, knowledgeable insurance lawyer, Mr. O'Rourke has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer in Insurance from 2012 through 2023.
